RF - Trading Electrical Wholesaler

Options
Hi Guys,

I was wondering if anybody could help:)

I have been looking into the possibility of using Ebay as way of generating a second income for my family and I.

I have come across this website, who on the face of it seem to offer some great deals on buying goods in units of more then 1.

The problem that faces me is that they have no telephone number, which is not positive. I've also sent them an email on Wednesday and have not had any reply.

Could anybody give me some advice on what I should do, or share any experiences they may have on previous dealings with this company?

If it is a scam then I would rather keep my hard earned cash:)

The link for the company is https://www.rf-trading.co.uk/, please let me know what you think.

wonder what the delivery costs are, hopefully you dont have to pay for delivery from china and get duped with the import tax as its 3-8 weeks for delivery

No phone number is a bit worrying and so is only half a post code (CF10). A quick search for Falcon Drive in cardiff on royalmail.com shows no record of an RF-Trading. Might want to try to catch him out and ask how long the websites been going: it was registered on 26/01/05. The site appears to be owned by Robert Foster (hence rf i presume) and interestingly a search on http://www.bt.com/phonenetuk/ brings up only two R. Foster's in Cardiff (with another 7 in the CF post code area). You could always give him a call ;)

If it looks too good to be true, and it does, then it generally is...

If he can source and sell you an iPod 40GB photo for £155 then why doesn't he sell them on eBay? They are attracting circa £200 on eBay.........

The delivery times might leave you vulnerable. If you are watching the market and see something worth going for you have then to wait up to 6 weeks before you can get that item and list it, by which time the market may well have moved on.

Also, as the OP already says, no delivery costs are shown. With listing fees, paypal fees and FVfs your margins are tight unless you can shift real quantities so the delivery costs will be a deal breaker. I'm also concerned about items possibly being shipped from abroad and incurring taxes on arrival in the UK.

Basically though, if you can't phone this guy now, nor does he appear to be in any hurry to respond to your emails are you happy to send him lots of your hard earned cash knowing that you can't contact him quickly if something goes wrong?

I seem to recall someone asking about his website before. Only accepting payments via Western Union.
The prices seem toooo cheap to be true.
I think Ipods and Sony products are only sold by autherised retailers, so seems dodgy.
The address is a serviced office in Cardiff.
I would avoid, I think that it is a scam site.

"Delivery charges are included in the price." Taken from t&c's. Personally, I wouldn't touch them with a bargepole, not enough contact information on their website.
