sainsburys travel insurance

sainsburys insurance is it any good? over 6weeks ago i was pick pocketed in Barcelona,,, and lost euros and pounds Sterling and a wallet,, nothing else ,, i contacted the insurance supplied them with police reports proof of travel etc,, total loss £500 nothing seems to be happening no reply to email ,,, its a simple case nothing complicated ,,, what can i do ?? have thay a time limit to reply? any suggestions

    Have you tried calling them?

    Unfortunately things do take time. Firstly because of staff availability to look at your case and secondly because it's in their interests to drag it out.
    You need to chase them I'm afraid.

    Yes, it's perfectly normal for insurers to drag their feet as long as possible I'm afraid.
    It's not normal for them to just ignore email though.
    Have you tried delivery and read receipts?

    Hi,

    DO NOT USE Debenhams Travel Insurance. They use Travel Claims Services who are useless. Their post room lost claim papers, never e-mail or ring you - always the snail mail post. Everything is in 5/6 working days from when you ring them. They are 0844 numbers - always take ages to answer - get put on hold - then they are 'only' call centre operatives - with NO surnames!!
