... but it is too early in the day so I will vent a little here.

I have a new ebay account, I have 40 feedback so far and 2 neutrals, one person left me a neutral because it took 3 days for their 2nd class item to arrive and now another buyer has just left me a neutral accusing me of charging them double for postage, they bought 2 items and I combined postage so they only paid half.

I have politely asked them to go check their paypal statement and consider revising their feedback or withdrawing it, but I doubt they will. :wall:

Are all 40 feedback from selling? If so check your expanded dashboard to see what your stars look like. It might be worth considering closing the account and starting again, that high a percentage of poor feedback is not going to help you in Best Match at all.

The first neutral is unfortunate, did you post immediately they paid so they got the item in 4 days or so? If so ask them if they might consider removal.

The 2nd neutral is a dangerous one as it will put people off. You say you combined p and p but was that figure they paid in line with stamp price or was it higher? Just combining p and p is not enough if there is still a high mark up on the cost compared to stamp priceIf it was in line with stamp price again ask buyer to recnsider the feedback, point out to buyer that (for instance) you charged £3 and the actual postage was £2,70. It probably won't help, but is worth a try.

Depending on yoru expanded dashboard, I htink you might be looking at closing the account.

The first was posted the same day, the second was £2.25 for a packet, I suspect there was buyers remorse because she bid more than retail for it.

    Dashboard is thus:

    Item as described4.970.00% (0)Communication4.970.00% (0)Dispatch time4.881.75% (1)Postage and packaging charges4.910.00% (0)

The second one I would definitely speak to the buyer about- I assume you paid the £2.20 2nd class rate so she actually only contributed 5p towards packing, which does not seem unfair.

Keep an eye on the expanded dashboard for a few days though as it might not have updated yet for the 2nd neutral. If the expanded dashboard stays like that after a week, then you can probably turn this around a bit by listing a lot of small easily posted items to get a rush of good feedback in.

This is also one time I might suggest buying a few bits as well on this account to get feedback quickly to get that 2nd neutral down the page. Look for small nonsense bits, even from Hong kong sellers where the seller leaves feedback on payment (many do), stuff that you are not likely to have problems with. Buy four or five bits and get that neutral moving down the page.

Well I called ebay and explained the situation regarding todays neutral and they have taken it off and issued a strike against the buyer :-).

It just gets better the buyer left me a false positive with the same negative feedback so I called ebay again and they removed that and issued another strike so I guess she won't be buying much from now on. :T

I don't think buyers get policy violations for removed feedback; anyone who has had a neg removed undeservedly would be in the same boat.

I think it is 4 policy violations you can block, not 2 - that is NPB strikes.
