Network Q warranty (Astra) - does it cover window switches/ cabling ?

The offside rear window has stopped working. Doesn't work from rear seat or driver's seat. Googling brings up common wiring break as most likely reason.
Main dealer want £48 plus VAT to check, refundable if covered by the warranty. I don't like this as all I can see it can be is wiring, switch, fuse or motor. Fuse should be easy to check and all others are parts I'd expect to be covered.
Any experience ?

What does your warranty booklet/terms say?
Most i have read exclude wiring and electrical stuff.
Check it yourself and save £48+vat ? Spend £5 on a test meter if its not the fuse.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Why don't you read the booklet to find out. You have it in front of you. We don't.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0

Are there separate fuses for each window?
If not, then it isnt a blown fuse."You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0 -

Excert from online warranty today (don't have mine to hand just now so can't say if it has changed)
http://www.networkq.co.uk/the-network-q-programme/Network-Q-Warranties/terms/index.htmlExclusions
Electrical Accessories – Bulbs, lamps/lenses (if the vehicle is fitted with adaptive lighting and the sensor fails, then the Warranty will pay for a replacement light unit), batteries, fuses, wiring harness, wiring terminals and remaking of disturbed electrical connections, car telephones. Any in-car entertainment units, unless factory fitted where We will pay up to £200 including VAT on each occasion.
On one hand, the relevant term may be "wiring harness" and an exclusion but a window opening mechanism is hardly an accessory but rather a fundamental piece of the car.
What I don't get it what could have gone wrong which would be covered and why the garage are reluctant to do it as a good will gesture, given the car is serviced and repaired there.
I feel as though I'll get hit up for the £48 plus VAT only to be told no, it isn't covered but if you give us £300 we'll fix it.
I've too much on to go trying to fix it myself and am miffed the garage isn't just sorting it out to be honest. I guess they could be losing my service business if they don't but that is for the next phone call.0 -

probably because they dont want the warranty work (no money in it)
so a goodwill gesture to find it is warranty, means no money
or a goodwill gesture to find it isnt covered but you dont want to pay to fix, means no money0 -

And this is why the technically incompetent should not use Google to diagnose faults.
It could just be a fuse. Have you checked the fuses?0 -
