Please beware of unscrupulous salesmen. I ordered some carpet and laminate during a sale. Before paying I asked specifically if once the sale was made I could cancel and refund, and I was clearly told yes. When I did cancel the salesman insisted he had not said what he did, and the manager insisted on charging a cancellation fee. They initially said 20% and then 'graciously' reduced it to 10%. I did not assent to this and the salesman lied to me. Why should I have to pay £70 cancellation fee for goods that were all floor stock. This is ridiculous. Please think carefully about dealing with Carpet Right. I read the comments, but went to them anyway. When am I going to learn to listen? Carpet Right are best avoided. Local, low-cost independents are better to deal with.

It's interesting. One of the factors the salesmen offered for dealing with them was that they were a large and reputable company. Another mistruth.
