esa rate question

can someone tell me how the benefits checkers work. my friend who is on hrc/hrm is going onto esa, and expects to be put into wrag group.
we did a calculation on the benefits checker and it says she will get 172 per week? it states: income related esa

esa paid at the main phase is about 99 , so what is the additional money/

we did the calculation again, and changed the hrc to lrc to see if it made any difference, and it went back to esa at 99 per week. very confusing.

Does she receive IS at the moment? Does she live alone?

yes she lives alone. will this amount be paid automatically on her esa claim, or does it need to be applied for seperately/
