Okay, as was posted before on this thread
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4020029
It should be out, It's obviously not. So your guess is as good as ours unfortunately.
The only way (currently) to do it, is to turn your Motorola Xoom wifi into a GED (Google Experience Device) and make it "American" and thus force updates over the air to get onto ICS. (or use a ROM out there that is ICS.
I went down the GED option, and intended to revert to get the UK ICS. But honestly, it's so long now I frankly can't be bothered to do it when/if if ever comes onto it.
If this is what you're interested in doing. Search ICS on Wifi Motorola Xoom, and you should be able to pick up threads on how to do it. It works quite nicely with ICS.0 -
Good guide to GED-ify your Xoom here
http://www.simonjstuart.com/2011/07/23/gedify-your-non-us-wifi-xoom-for-n00bs/
and according to the author Jelly Bean is being released to it on 19th July0 -
no point rolling out ics now that jelly bean is iminent. lets hope uk xooms are the first to update"The Holy Writ of Gloucester Rugby Club demands: first, that the forwards shall win the ball; second, that the forwards shall keep the ball; and third, the backs shall buy the beer." - Doug Ibbotson0

Just to be clear, Jelly Bean is (apparently) being rolled out to the GED Xoom only not the standard UK WiFi Xoom which is still waiting (and waiting) for ICS.
GED-ifying effectively turns it from a Motorola device to a Google device and updates then come direct from Google. I have done it to my Xoom, it wasn't particularly difficult, and it is like a different (much better) tablet!
The guide I linked to earlier has been updated to be even easier than when I did it.0 -
Ooh Jelly bean to come then!
I do have to say GED'ing my Xoom was pretty easy, the only eek moment I had was waiting for it to download all the OTA updates, was a bit slow. I expected instant, but it got there eventually.
Will sit and wait for Jelly Bean now.0 -
thanks sandlake. got ics now. a few hairy moments along the way but got there in the end. as lifeforms says the updates take a couple of hours. i seem to have picked up all the apps from an old zte blade that i rooted. one icon is superuser but am assuming that i am not now rooted on xoom. if not, anyone know if i can just delete it?"The Holy Writ of Gloucester Rugby Club demands: first, that the forwards shall win the ball; second, that the forwards shall keep the ball; and third, the backs shall buy the beer." - Doug Ibbotson0

News about the Jelly Bean release should be widespread but have a look here

must admit I put off ICS for mine, but now Jelly Bean is appealing - I looked at the root method before and there were too many things that could go wrong for me (I'd had it a week) but now I've had it a few month I think the Jelly Bean could be worth a go
Worth GED'ing it now, or should I just go straight to Jelly Bean from Honeycomb?0 -
The method I used for mine (a fair time ago) did not require it to be rooted. Mines not rooted thus. I hum'd and hah'd about rooting it only just to block ads, then decided I couldn't find an eediots guide, so didn't in the end.0
