Two Tickets in one day, what to do ?

matt_118 Posts: 1 Newbie
I discovered yesterday that i had acquired two parking tickets both from private parking companies.

The first one was at a service station where my car was there for over two hours and was sent through the post by Parking Eye , just ignore this right ?

The second was at work where my car was parked in a disabled space on a very quiet day. This ticket was stuck to my car and issued by Car Parking partnership. Where do i stand with this one as my car is parked in this car park regularly ?

Thanks !

I stopped reading at the end of the first sentence. Private parking tickets = ignore, ignore, ignore. They mean nothing and will go away.

So, that's no tickets then. Just two speculative invoices. Stop worrying. :)

Just ignore them studiously. And the Blue Badge scheme does not apply on private property, so you merely abused a courtesy space there.

Both Parking Eye and CPP letter chains are in the forum sticky, so you can be apprased of the rubbish they will send you, just count them off till the end of the scam. :)

It's just a scam, ignore it as long as your vehicle is not a company/ hire or leased car. Any attempt at an appeal would be pointless and a complete waste of time. This is not some sort of authority, it's not even a real parking ticket even though it tries to pass itself of as one. They are easy to ignore; it's only some junk mail!

The advice for private parking tickets = ignore, even if they are dressed up to look like council tickets (all part of the scam).

So, two tickets in one day = ignore twice!

I have been providing assistance, including Lay Representation at Court hearings (current score: won 57, lost 14), to defendants in parking cases for over 5 years. I have an LLB (Hons) degree, and have a Graduate Diploma in Civil Litigation from CILEx. However, any advice given on these forums by me is NOT formal legal advice, and I accept no liability for its accuracy.
  • Two scam invoices in one day???

    This calls for immediate action!!!!

From 00:01 until 12:00 ignore the first one.

From 12:01 until 00:00 ignore the second one.

While actively ignoring a ticket hide the other one behind it.

Repeat until the scammers give up.

ps. Can I send you a speculative invoice for typing this post?? £100 reduced to £95 if paid today or £0.00 if ignored....... I'll engage a fake solicitor if that would help...

yikes, 2 fake tickets, just means you can ignore twice as much than those of us who only have 1.

    I've ignored 1 to death.:rotfl:

I'm currently ignoring 2 others. One is quite fresh (only 2 letters so far) but the other is I suspect on its last legs (8 letters to date) and may not have many days left before it too dies a death... :T

As above ignore all letters if they are for private parking companys ( parking charge notice ) adn not council issued tickets, although you shouldnt park in disabled spaces, if the car park was quite why didnt you park elsewhere?

anyway mini lecture aside continue to ignore
