Merlin Annual Passholders!!

Hi all. Just wondering if anyone can help me please?
I have a voucher for entry into Legoland already because our special needs children had an awful visit to the park last year and after writing to Legoland they have invited us back as their guests to experience a good day (here's hoping.) Anyway I am trying to book a hotel for myself, husband and 3 children to stay (which is massively expensive as can not go til August) but Legoland currently have an option for annual pass holders to book a nearby hotel on room only basis and so I clicked this but to get this offer you need an annual pass number.
I tried the number on my voucher but this was not accepted and so from reading things I understand being a Merlin annual pass holder entitles you to discounts, additional extras and such like.
So what I need from anyone who would be kind enough is to let us use the number from their annual pass number just so I can book the hotel. Can anyone help please otherwise the expense is massive and we will not be able to go
Thank you so much in advance!!!

It was just awful unfortunately. We took a 10 year old severely ADHD child, a 6 year old autistic child and a 3 year old toddler on a baking August day but we were not aware about pass outs and on one ride we had to queue for 75 minutes. The restaurant we ate in was disgustingly dirty. After large amounts of time spent queueing for some rides our 3 year old was refused the chance to go on because the staff deemed him too short - despite us paying full child price for him. It was an upsetting day for the children and a frustrating experience for my husband and I who just wanted to ensure our kids had a nice summer holiday treat.0

Just in case any other parents/families out there have children with special needs or disabilities here is legoland's accessibility guide

Be careful as you normally have to produce the pass and the discounts are also only for Premium Pass holders. Maybe phoning Merlin could get you some discount vouchers. My son works on the London Eye and we take his pass when we go as he gets a certain amount of concessions for family too. :cool:0

Thanks Bollotom, it isnt for entry into the park, it is just to book a hotel room only via their website, they do not offer room only option and it does not state anywhere that you need to produce the pass for the hotel as the payment is made in full via the site. I certainly do not want someone's pass!0

Hi all, me again, I decided to ring Legoland holidays and ask if room only option was exclusively for annual pass holders, where I was told online yes however if you telephone them (freephone 08002120503) like I did then they can over-ride the pass holders only bit. So I just got a room including breakfast, parking, leisure facilities in a 4* star hotel with goodie bags for the kids for under £300 for 2 nights. I am very pleased with myself now!!0

honestly, you will get better rates at local hotels going direct. Just done a quick check and the Novatel Heathrow is £120 a night. the same booking through legoland with 'pass holder' discount is £187
However, if you had such a bad time last august, then it isnt going to be any better this time. the queues will be just as long and the fast pass system, doesnt actually get you on that much quicker. as for height. rides do have restrictions and there are height markers at the entrance to each ride. having to pay for an entry ticket still doesnt give you access to all rides.
personally i think legoland is fairly pants for children under 5 as they are too short for alot of rides, or the ones they can go on, they need to be accompanied, so you need a good balance of adults and kids in your party. as a family of 5, you wont find that many rides you can all go on together
you would have a much better time out of peak season

Why not just go to a travelodge - they are perfectly adequate.0

Guest that have special needs sometimes qualify for an exit pass which is different to the fast pass. My DS has SN and we had a thoroughly enjoyable trip to Legoland - although we had an equal adult to child ratioDFW Nerd #awaiting number - Proud to be dealing with my debts!
Dont cry because it's over, smile because it happened.
