I have been diagnosed with probable MS, I need to get my insurances sorted!!

Hi all

Time once again to ask for some help. I have been diagnosed with a condition called Mylitis which is inflamation of the spine and genrally the forerunner to an MS diagnosis.

I had a meeting with our fininacial advisor today to see where I stand with my insurance policies. I have a payment protection policy on my mortgage and also life assurance linked to my outstanding mortgage.

The basic story is that I cant ammend these policies or increase them without huge charges or denial due to my new diagnosis. Apparenty, medical underwriters are pretty hot on what diagnosis leads to another in life!!

So the question is, who do I contact to sort these out? I have found some information available from Heath Lambert that I am following through but I wonder if anyone has any tips for me on this one.

Over to you now and thanks in advance!!!

    Hi

I am basically looking for something that offers life insurance with critical illness cover and also some kind of incapacity policy.

I know where you are coming from though, I was refused critical illness cover on my existing life insurance as I had high blood pressure on my medical records even though the medical I had for the policy showed that my blood pressure was normal. It's stupid!! My wide also has exclusions in here critical illness and life insurance if its the result of back related matters. She was pregnant at the time, she had sciatica and they refused based on this.

She has since had the baby, here we are 3 years on and no sign of sciatica!!! I love insurance!!
