Bra wire in washing machine drum

Hi.
I hope someone can help me out.
The underwire from a bra has come out of the bra in the washing machine. It found its way through the holes in the drum, made lots of grating noises and has now disappeared. Its not made it through to the lint trap so not sure where its hiding.
My questions-
a) How easy would it be to get to the outside of the drum, but inside the waterproof housing, to try and locate the wire?
b) Do you think it will cause a problem if left? ie will it turn up in the lint trap before braking the pump or doing damage elsewhere?
Many thanks

This is only a maybe, but you may be able to retrieve it by removal of the door seal, probably be a bit fiddly and need a bit of fishing!
It will probably take a long time to breakdown and as it would appear its lodged somewhere at the moment it could become free again and do damage, it will also probably rust and discolour your washing?
Best get it out soon as!Signature removed0 -

Ooof !
Me and my late father in law used to repair washers and the number of these things we used to remove every omnth you wouldnt believe.
They normally get stuck on the heating element, sometimes they break and end up in the waste trap or the pump. We had a few that had actually rubbed through the plastic outer drum and they basically wrote the machine off.
There is virtually no way you will get that out by removing the door seal unless its right at the front of the machine and pointing in the right direction. Only way to go is get a washing machine engineer in, he'll have to remove the case from the machine then take the back or front of the external drum off to remove it that way.
Cost wise and im going back a few years now would have been a £75 - £100 touch, more obviously if the bearings had to be removed and replaced as well. You may click thanks if you found my advice useful0 -

As helpful as post 4 but I wash mine in a pillowcase, no need to buy a mesh bag!0
