    Hi guys,

I've just got back from buying my dress. Problem is it was first shop I went into and although tried on 10 dresses it was first one I tried on. Does anybody think I'm mad? I loved the dress but now coming back think maybe I should have looked around.

Please somebody tell me I'm not crazy.

You are not crazy! I went to one shop, tried on four dresses and bought number four :)

I bought my dress secondhand from eBay without going to a dress shop, the only other dress I have tried on was the chinese copy of the second hand dress I have now bought. I love my dress too.

As long as you're happy and you love the dress it does not matter how many you have tried on.

Thank you everyone. You know when you start to doubt yourself but I love the dress and I've definitely got the 'one' for me.

Told people in work and that I got dress but not any detail about it and most of them said they got the first dress they tried on too.

Makes me feel better. Thanks everyone.
  • I saw one in a magazine... looked up the bridal shops that stocked it, went in and saw it and didn't look for any others (even before I tried it on as it was only a sample size they had in), then when they got real sizes in and I tried it on I knew I'd done the right thing!
I think when you know a dress suits your figure and style it's the one for you!
    Congratulations!

I only went to one shop. Tried on about 10 dresses, got it down to 3 favourites and then decided i really liked one after trying it on again and went for it. I thought things would only get more confusing if i tried on loads at different shops and i am really happy with my choice.

Not only did I buy the first dress I tried on but my wedding is still 2 years away! :o

I bought it from a girl who had changed her mind and bought 2 dresses. It was unworn, unaltered and came with local bridal boutique labels, dress bag and she paid £1400 (still on label). I bought it off of her for £400.

I love it and will only need it shortened but will need to keep me eyes screwed firmly shut for the next 2 years!:rotfl:

    Hiya,

I suppose I did too, as i'm having mine made! I made sketches with the dressmaker & she has given ideas & thats what she is making. So not only did I not go round bridal shops i've not even tried one on like mine will look when it's finished.

First day wedding dress shopping with my daughter and we have ordered one from the second shop we went in, second dress she tried on.
It's been a wonderful day and my daughter was treated like the only bride getting married.
Never thought it would be that easy. Just have to wait 6 months now for the next fitting.

Mine was probably the about the 8th I tried on, but I knew it was the one I wanted when I tried it on! I didn't try it again before ordering..I didn't buy it there an then because I was sure I could get a better deal, and good thing I did that, because I eventually got it for half the first quote!
