halfords v Vauxhall antifreeze
Halfords advanced red concentrate antifreeze OAT to be diluted to 50:50
£25 for 5 litres
Vauxhall dealers GM antifreeze pink OAT to be diluted to 50:50
£17 for 5 litres retail - you may get a discount if you say the right words. (they also do 20l tub for I dunno but I guess about £40) I imagine the shelf life is huge, my 5 litre bottle of GM bought a few years ago has an official shelf life of October 2012. If you have 2 or 3 cars 20litres may not be a bad idea.
Why would anyone choose to buy Halfords? And anyone who can use the halfords stuff in your various makes of car you can use the GM stuff aswell.
Apparently the GM stuff is rated to a lower temperature too, not that it would make any difference in UK.

Halfords is a good price with the trade card. Having said that, I use the GM stuff where I can, but I've at least 3 cars that need the old blue antifreeze from Halfords.0
