Laminate floor...which one? where from?

Now that theinsurance company have agreed to pay out to repair the damage caused to our house due to a gas blast round the corner I'm looking for the best possible laminate floor for a dining room with moderate footfall. A dark wood effect.
Looked at the usual places (B&Q, Wickes, Floors 2 Go and Homebase) but have not got a clue.
Loking for something reasonably priced that is quite easy to put together and will last for a while.
Thanks

Can't comment on other places but B&Q's 'Milano Oak' is the best value and best looking (personal opinion) that B&Q sell.
Its really thick laminate, is suitable for high traffic areas and is riddiculously cheap for the quality of the flooring. Also suitable for splash areas but you dont really need that, currently £15 per pack which works out at £12 per m2. Reviews are pretty good online and reviews ive had from customers have been nothing but brilliant. Also has 20 yr domestic guarantee!

Beware falling foul of "betterment".
If the previous flooring cost, say £200, and you want the best possible laminate flooring which costs, say £400, and your insurance company find out, you're knackered. They will expect you to pay for the extra £200.
On the other hand, you may get away with it as they may struggle to prove how much your previous flooring cost.0 -
The insurance payout has already been agreed.Beware falling foul of "betterment".

How has it been sorted through the insurance?
What I mean is; have they issued a mandate or told you to get a quote or given you a list of suppliers?0 -
I got a quote from a local flooring shop that I had emailed to me, forwarded the emial to the insurers, they agreed the cost and are issuing me a cheque. I am not tied into using the company that gave me a quote, and as I'm trying to recover what I will lose due to my excess I want to buy the laminate seperate and get it fitted by a friend who does it for a living but will be a lot cheaper than what I have been quoted for.How has it been sorted through the insurance?
