Can I reclaim?

I took out health and life assurance years ago. When I tried to renew because I had re-mortgaged I gave the same details re my medical issues and was informed my previous cover was invalid as they hadn't taken these into account. Foolishly I carried paying premiums for a while but now wonder if I should try to claim all or some of these back. What are my chances?

Would need to understand a lot more about what has happened.

Who's told you it was invalid? Did you disclose the medical conditions prior to buying?

Generally if you have disclosed it and they've made the error to forget to apply the loading then its their tough luck. I have the same with my life cover where they forgot to apply the increase but as I spotted it I got it in writing from them that there wont be a problem in the future because of it. (my forms, interview and medical all had the condition stated)

As II asked. Why not? Did you fully disclose them on your application?
