Not if you have identified the same job with 2 agencies first like the OP has. The advice here then is to let both put you forward.

Most agencies though will have different job descriptions for the same role. They also keep their cards very close to their chest not informing you who their client is.

If I think one role might be different to the other, then I certainly would let them both submit my CV. They could at the end of the day be for 2 different jobs, plus the employer as a previous poster has stated go with their preferred agency. This could increase you chances of getting the job.

I did something similar the other week when one said the company wouldn't want to see me after them calling me so I found out who it was and went direct to them. Two agencies made the mistake by giving too many clues away in their adverts that were obviously copied word for word from the job sepc so I located the companies web site and applied direct.

Why would the employer disregard you?

The only issue is that there will be a bunfight by the agencies over who is entitled to the fee if you get the job, but that's not your problem.

There is one other issue: Some of the agencies manipulate your CV to look "better" before sending it on to the CV's.

It can raise questions if they have both amended it in different ways and if the employer compares them.

lol I have just had something similar happen to me yesterday.

Somehow I have managed to get two interviews, at the same time, on the same day, at the same building.

When being contacted about the vacancies, the agencies used the company name, rather than the operating group. Two companies, who operate under the same group are advertising for similar jobs, so I naturally applied for both.

Now I've got to work out what to do next...
