Hi
Could someone give me some help please? I have Avast (free version) nad yesterday it popped up saying there was a update which I then clicked on it asked me if I wanted to install google chrome which I did nit want to so left the box unticked. When the update was complete i went on to the internet and I have no tool bar. I have to hover over the top of the page to see anything and then all I can do is open new tabs. Before I had a tool bar with the weather on it games and other useful info how do I get this back dont like the new look this pnly happens on my account not on anypne else who has access to the laptop
TIA

Hi
Sorry I am using Internet Explorer will try what you said this has only happend since I installed the Avast update and I am thinking maybe its only altered mine as I am the administrator. Will let you lnow how I get on
Thanks
Ok update I have done alt+v and nothing happened should toolbars come up as a option to click
Thanks0 -
hold down alt alone, you should then see the file, edit, view (alt v is view) etc menu, if that doesn't work, press F11 - you may be in kiosk mode (F11 toggles it on/off)!!

What was installed by avast? OP hasn't clarified what they did to resolve the problem, but it could have been caused by hitting F11.!!

OP didn't install chrome, so the problem (which related to IE not showing toolbars) is unconnected. Installing chrome with avast is optional unless users don't pay attention to what comes on screen when they install or update the software.!!
