    Barclaycard is the provider of BHS store card. which is confirmed by equifax search

    I've been Money Tipped!
    You would have been asked for a date of birth, addresses, earnings, mortgage or rent etc - surely it would have been obvious that that was a bit too much information for a loyalty card.

    I can't understand why people don't value their privacy a bit more highly than that.

    Is a 10% discount in BHS really worth giving all this personal information? Did you not even ask why they needed to know all of that stuff.

    Plus they would (should) have read you a statement before going ahead with the credit check - that would have been a clue.
