Reclaiming a deposit back from Blockbuster

Don't really know if this is in the right place but have put a £50 deposit down at Blockbuster on a PS3. Due to an unexpectedly large gas and electricity bill, can no longer afford the PS3. I tried to cancel my order but blockbusters say the £50 deposit isn't refundable, and stated the information about deposits is in instore posters.

My copy of the order sheet that i signed has no mention of non refundable deposits, nor was i told this by the assistant at the time of taking the deposit.

Where do i stand on reclaiming it people?

Thanks in advance

Well on the Blockbuster site under T&C's of the offer It does say the Deposit is Non Refundable.

So not much chance I suppose getting a refund

I didn't order on the online site, so therefore didn't see that information. I haven't had the information told to me, or signed anything telling me that information, and haven't read the instore posters.

I think you would have to prove there was no posters explaining the terms when you signed up.

yes you may have lost 50 quid buuuut you have saved a stagering 400 quid+ on what is a very over rated and over priced console.

just wait a few years for the price to come down ( thats what im doing)
