First of all, why is your accountant recommending it?
Secondly, what do you both currently have?
One bank is generally as good/ bad as the next. Generally if you are going to have both a joint account and individual accounts it can make sense to have the joint (if any) as a package account and the individual ones as free ones so that you only pay one set of fees but both gain the benefits.0 -
Santander 123 account offers cashback for household bills so would be ideal if this is the purpose of your joint account.0

Though it comes with the obvious issue that you are a customer of Santander and they have all your money :O0
