Remember that Microsoft (and probably other software companies) also provide a lot of information for new and small business. It's worth registering for Microsoft's small business newsletter. Also, have a look at their downloadable templates, as they should help you ease the pain of designing things like letterheads, forms and presentations.

Ive just been on the startups website that gonzo mentioned and they are having startup live events around the country this summer, with speaker and opportunities to network etc. Ive put my name down for the one in Bristol and wondering if anyone else is going to one?

I've got a lot of good advice from the forum at https://www.taxationweb.co.uk But don't be an idiot like I was and think you can do it without an accountant. The cost of an accountant would have saved me a little money and a pile of stress in the first couple of years.
