Blue Circle Next To White Arrow Going Round and Round

Options
Hi, For the last couple of weeks next to the white arrow a blue circle appears and it just goes round and round. It does disappear but quickly comes back. Does anyone know how I can get rid of it as it's a little annoying.

Can you give us a bit more to work with? Are you using Windows? Where do you see the white arrow?

I think she's referring to the mouse pointer.
It sounds like some activity going on in the background, probably worth running a quick scan of anti-virus/malware applications to rule out internet nasties.

I think I've fixed it. Typed CONFIG then clicked on start up and disabled all. Hope that fixes it.

It will have probably have "fixed" your anti virus software if you disabled all.

Hmmm well I de-activated everything and the blue circle disappeared. I then re-activated everything and the blue circle returned. How do I know what needs to be running in the background and what doesn't?

Trial and error. If you've a stack of programmes installed, rather than enabling 1 programme at a time, enable half of them. If it doesn't appear, enable half of the rest, and so on. If it does appear, half what was enabled. Hope that makes sense!! lol

or take a screenshot of the MS CONFIG and post it up and we can advise which ones should go and which ones should be okay.

I think this time I've fixed it. It was to do with HP.
