Buyer wants price dropping due to survey - need advice!

Wow - thanks for all the replies! We've initially said no to any price drop and are waiting to see what she'll come back with. On reflection, although we're not in a rush to move, I'm expecting my 3rd baby in 6 weeks, so was hoping we'd be settled at my parents by then! The electrics do need cross bonding and a new fuse board so we're prepared to pay half of that ie £300 (I got the quote!) so we'll wait and see for a bit. I guess we don't really want to lose the sale!
Thanks again0 -
Lose a buyer for less than a grand? You must be mad!
How much did you purchase the said property for, and how long have you owned it? You are probably robbing the buyer blind (IMO) anyway...0 -

So if you put it back on the market you could make a killing of an extra £4680.00p. Even have the work done and make more!
The downside if there is a property crash. But at present properties are in short supply, so it may go quick!
Surely whether or not property has increased an estimated 4-5% since October or not would depend on the part of the country the house is in.0 -

Again, thanks for all replies! I've just heard from our solicitor that our buyer is preparinf to sign her contract for our agreed price of £115,000 with a view to exchanging tomorrow and completing next Friday! Although we were prepared to drop some of the price, it appears our initial 'no' has gone in our favour.
Crikey - now have to seriously think about packing up - aargh!!0
