Using a credit card to pay Mortgage monthly payments

I pay about £1500 a month towards my mortgage payments (massively overpay!!) and i was wondering if i could take out one of these reward credit cards and just use this for my mortgage payments and nothing else and pay it off in full every month?

looking for advice as im not sure if this is possible or not.

thanks in advance.

Depending on your lender it might be possible....but I doubt very much
  • ill maybe call and ask the lender.

It would also not be considered a purchase. It would be a cash advance and you would be charged normal high interest rates. Otherwise I could just get a card and max it out straight away paying my mortgage then withdraw the cash from my mortgage account (it's a flexible mortgage with unlimited redraw facilities).
    :footie:
:p Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S) :p Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money. :p

It's not normal for mortgage providers to accept CC payments unless you are in arrears and it's the only way they can get money from you.
    However there may be exceptions.
Check though that's it's a purchase and not a cash advance.

They don't normally accept CCs for mortgage payments...if they do, they'd charge you a fee which would normally out weigh the rewards...
