Ive just read on here that credit searches do not show your salary, does that mean if i were to exaggerate my salary form 29k to say 45k i would be more likely to be accepted?

Are there any more white lies one could use to enhance ones credit score?

From my past dealings with Credit card limits and salary you would only come unstuck if asked to prove it :o

If your salary is sufficient to cover rent, bills, childcare, tax, food, car, pension, and a shareplan, and you still have something left, !!!!!! do you want any more for?:)

Adding CC interest to that list is not going to make things any easier.

to be fair my post was a hypothetical question but i already have substantial CC debts which i am tackling by using 0% BT's, if a small 'typo' would aid my application for further balance transfers and increase chances of being accepted then it would save me a lot of money and speed up the repayment of my debts.

Also i would like a cash back credit card to help me budget and also earn cash back, declined over a year ago when applied for AMEX

Many people adjust their lifestyle to reflect their incomes and so have nothing left in the bank at the end of the month no matter if they earn £15,000, £45,000 or £150,000

Added to that we are increasingly a nation that wants something now and deal with repaying it later rather than saving up for something. Doesnt take a big bump in the road to knock that train off the track

Plus £570 a week is not necessarily much if you are living in London and have kids etc

To get cashback on all spending with no interest charges when paid off in full each month.

    Good financial sense.
  • By looking at your signature would think most people would query your salary.

    Rofl, agreed.
