Buying an ex Council flat for investment in Wood Green

Ive walked the streets of Wood Green day and night and never had a problem, although for some nervous types they may. Anyway, thats from first hand experience.
Its a vibrant area and rents well."enough is a feast"...old Buddist proverb0 -
The council will sting you for truly ridiculous service charges, eg £15k+ to replace the windows.
This is the key point. Find out exactly what works are planned for the next few years and find out what residents in similar local blocks have been charged. (Actual figures, from the council, not a guess from the estate agent!) Then factor that into your calculations.0 -
If you want to buy a flat in a grim part of London that is fairly central then Wood Green is the place. It's never been nice, maybe one day it will be. Who knows.0

And don't forget the stabbings in and around the High Street!
There's stabbings in Islington and central london too. However if you want value for money in an area thats a clever investestment with great links and some nice things near by, wood green is the place to be. Don't take my word for it, speak to Phil and Kirsty.Proudly voted remain. A global union of countries is the only way to commit global capital to the rule of law.0
