First Direct Switching

I have previously posted to say I had a problem with First Direct. I have just switched to them from BOS. I kept my BOS account for household bills and to make a joint account with o.h. I made a list for first direct of the dds i wanted to switch and the ones i didn't. That was fine, they told me and then they promptly switched the wrong ones. This was human error. They gave me a tenner for phone calls for me to change it over.

I thought I had it all sorted, having contacted my mortgage provider, sky, coms, etc and then none of these were debited from my account. After several phone calls to both banks, First Direct have now acknowledged that they made a second human error, that they wrote bos a generic letter after I had sorted it all out, to say switching complete, please cancel everything!

I am very reasonable and accepted their honesty the first time and their tenner for phonecalls. Yesterday they offered me £50 for inconvenience, but I told them to beat it as I have had sleepless nights about my mortgage not paying, as well as the hassle of phoning five or six providers to set things up, over three times now.

I wanted to share this with others, but also would be grateful for advice in relation to my credit file. The payments which were late were mortgage (HBOS) & Insurance, tv license, Sky, 02 and energy company. I have made card payments to all of these to make them up to date, but we hope to change our mortgage in a couple of years and I don't really want this to bite us in the backside. What should I do?
