Having a white gloss kitchen fitted soon and cant decide on colour of cooker hood chimney.
Hob is black glass and the freestanding appliances are black gloss and the work top is black. I have a built in eye level double oven which is Neff (stainless steel/black glass).
I will have a black glass spashback.
Do I go for black or stainless steel???????
HELP HELP I cant decide.:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Stainless & a bottle of the Method stainless steel 'for real' polish
Might be a bit too black & white otherwise (in my opinion, you may be going for that look in which case ignore me!)

You have a lot of black in the kitchen. I would go for either stainless steel, or if you can find one, a white cooker hood.0

We put in a fully integrated extractor in our white kitchen so it blends in. If you want to make a feature of it though I would go for some of the black + glass since you don't have much SS in there.0

Black or stainless steel are great if you really like polishing...No free lunch, and no free laptop

The Method stainless polish & a microfiber cloth works wonders
My kitchen is gloss red, mainly hidden, integrated appliances but stainless & dark glass oven & microwave, stainless kick boards, gloss black mirror chip worktops & splash backs, gas on black glass hob and a sheet of stainless from the hob to the stainless extractor. I think the bit of stainless works well, too much looks industrial!

Im getting a gas on black glass hob. Cant seem to find much info on them. I see that you have one are they any good!!
My work top and upstands are black (will be replaced with sparkly granite soon) and units white gloss. Quite fancy a black glass splashback with white flowers printed on it! So will a black hood look better or stainless steel?0 -
Hi woody39 I have designed and fitted loads of black and white kitchens I would go with black hood or like someone said go for integrated hood with white door on the front of the hood... or go for different colour glass splashback and black hood0

Oooo I was going to have a black glass splashback, a table top from Ikea! But it's now a kitchen table instead!
Love my hob, it's a 3 burner from Ikea with the big wok hob
Easy enough to clean too, better than the electric one we had before!

I cannot have an integrated hood as I have no wall units above the hob. Decided against units as they would of been 300 wall units and
I feel everything would of been squashed in and not lined up with the pan draws below! So a nice feature hood is my only option.
Then there is the splashback. If I have a curved glass hood surley I woud need a curved glass splashback???0
