Hi all,
I got a issue on my step account. I was shopping from internet and did cancel my order. Then I try to buy something from the same site. they are all rejected. Then Natwest's fraud department contacted me for those transaction. I have explained them and they said no problem to my account. However, after that I cant get any security verified popup when I was going to make a payment with my debit card. Then I contact fraud department again. They said they cant do anything and asked me to solve them out in any branch. Then when I checked my account, I found my step account disappeared. What happen to me. Can someone really help me.
Thank you very much

Step accounts became Basic accounts a while ago. Biggest (only?) difference is that Step/Basic punters can no longer use cash machines that weren't part of the RBS/Natwest group.
Not sure what's causing your problem. Perhaps the website you cancelled the order with doesn't want your business.
Your account disappearing from view might be linked or Natwest's ongoing technical problems.
Your best option is probably to follow Natwest's advice and speak to someone in one of their branches.0 -
Natwest people for fraud said they have hidden my account till my problem solve out. They asked me to go to branch and they can not help me through the phone. I just worry they can't deal with my problem and get it close. I just did some failed online shopping. I dont know why they did that.
Today I cant access my account to withdraw money. I have not had food today. OMG. My bank wants to kill me:(0 -
Does someone get the same problem:(
Can I get some experience from you0 -
My NW account vanished from my iPad app after they were suspicious about a transaction. I spoke to them and confirmed the transaction was ok - they then removed the restriction and I could see the account again.
NW seem to be very sensitive with fraud so do as they ask and you should be ok.Never argue with an idiot. Especially not this idiot because I'm always right anyway.0 -
but they hided my account and i cant get money to buy the food. I should have had a very nice dinner with some girl. May she could become my girlfriend, now, its been impossible due to my lovely bank.0

Natwest hiding your bank account, preventing you buying a girlfriend for the night, sounds like a good case for compensation to me.0 -
How do you value that sort of compo?0
