Hi everyone. I have an android phone (HTC wildfire) and like to use the Google maps navigation tool when driving somewhere I don't know. However, it's changed what it does since an update a little while ago (sorry - can't remember exactly when). If I stray off the blue line, it used to recalculate my route automatically after a few minutes, and tell me which way to go from my new position. It doesn't do this any more. Does anyone know if there's any way I can turn that feature back on? I've tried exploring the settings menus but not found anything, and I can't find anything about it online either. Thanks.
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

It used to not recalculate if it was being used in offline mode have you checked the setting for the maps app or just navigation app?
What about going into setting apps and then choosing google maps and uninstalling the updates does it work then?0 -
Thanks Dave.
I've checked and it's not in offline mode. I've uninstalled the update and am now off out shopping so will try it out and see if it recalculates.Do you know anyone who's bereaved?
