How much spending money - Disney land.

Hi everyone. We have booked a suprise trip to Disney land for our two children (7 & 9). We're going for 2 nights 3 days (although only 2 days in parks) on August 12th this year.
We're staying in the Santa Fe hotel. We've never been before, we're travelling by coach.
I need to get our Euro's in a couple of weeks. How much would you recommened we take roughly? I know Disney is expensive but I really have no idea how much is too little, just enough or too much.
Can anyone please help?

Presumably you know the price of the accomodation and park entry tickets or have already paid for them?
You don't have to spend anything else in the park if you take your own food and drinks (saves time queuing as well, you'll be queuing for rides so why queue for food). If you want pictures with the characters you can take your own rather than pay their official photographer.0 -

a basic evening meal (burger/chips/drink) will be about £100 for a family of 4 in a restaurant in the village. McDonalds is the cheapest option, but still more expensive than normal (£20 for two happy meals and 2 value meals)
food in the park, varies. you can get a hot drink and cake for about £5. or a hotdog/chips/drink for £10.
if possible try and book a character meal (eat-all-you-can buffet). although about £15 a head, if you do it late enough in the day, you wont need a sit-down meal in the evening and can just get a snack - or take your own with you, we often pack pot-noodles and crisps to have in the room. not our usual type of food, but it fills a hole and saves money if you are on a tight budget
i take it you are B&B, if so take sandwich bags with you. most people make a few ham/cheese rolls up at breakfast and grab some pain-au-chocolates to eat throughout the day

Thanks both, fantastic advice.
Yes we are b&b basis and all tickets paid for. I was thinking about taking around £300-£400, this should be plenty then.
Thanks again.Faced up to my debt Jan 2012.0 -
I heard that Euro disney was expensive but didn't realise it was that bad. What a rip offa basic evening meal (burger/chips/drink) will be about £100 for a family of 4 in a restaurant in the village. Yes. About 8 years ago we priced up Eurodisney for 3 night etc. and it was almost £900 and everyone warned us how expensive it was there. We then priced Florida and it was £1200 for the 3 of us for 2 weeks. We did have to find park tickets on top but eating in the park was very reasonable if we needed to. If I remember rightly it was about $5-6 for a Mac Donalds type meal with free drinks refills. Water was free from fountains, we just took in a water bottle on lanyard with us.welshone27 wrote: »Shocking isn't it.

Yes - we had evening meals in a couple of really nice restaurants near the hotel we were staying at a couple of RER stops away - eating out in France is generally excellent (and reasonably cheap) so we decided to get away from Disney for dinner.I heard that Euro disney was expensive but didn't realise it was that bad. What a rip off
