Like a moron I've dropped my iPhone on my tiled kitchen floor, and smashed the screen. If i go to Apple I will need to fork out £130 for a replacement handset, is there anywhere I can go to replace the screen for cheaper?

A few other people have recommended this shop without giving me their name/website. I have emailed them and check the quote out (and work out whether it's worth paying or waiting 2 weeks and claiming on my bank insurance for £25)

Is your iPhone still within warranty? I ask because if you go ahead with a third party replacement of the screen, Apple wont touch it with a bargepole for anything else that may go wrong with it - I know this from experience!

Go to any independent phone shop, they will either do it or know someone who can

Have a look at these guys too

I've used them before and they've always been quick, reliable and honest.
I had an iPod 2G that I couldn't fix so took it into them. The problem was unfixable long-term (in terms of cost anyway) but they provided a workaround that lasted long enough (a couple of months) for my needs, they didn't try to lie about a short term fix and they only charged me a couple of quid instead of the full hour or so labour involved.

ETA: They're in Erdington, just off Six Ways, a few shops down from the British Heart Foundation.
