holiday needed

So sick of this weather am desperate to book a holiday. Ideally 1st choice would be Ibiza then Majorca would now even consider Benidorm. I have looked on thomson and first choice and the holidays are so expensive. Am I being unrealistic in thinking we can get away from 20th July to anytime during August although not to near the end for £2,000 for 4 of us 2 adults, 18yr old and 14yr old. Any london airport.

You could try booking your flights and hotel/villa separate like i do -

try https://www.villarenters.com or https://www.ownersdirect.co.uk both good sites for private villas at fantastic prices

Hi, I'm no expert but we are going to ibiza in 10 days time.
we are staying at Casa luis in santa eulalia for one week and it cost about £1650 (but i did book an apartment with 2 bedrooms, wanted peace and quiet from kids)

I feel I need a holiday too, but only have the option to go in the school holidays in the last 2 weeks of August. It's just so expensive!

See my post above for links - We too are stuck with school holidays as my wife teaches - we have stayed in some fantastic villas in some fantastic resorts and much cheaper than you would pay for a family of 5 via a travel agents in peak times - bit Turkey biased ourselves so happy to advise if anyone needs some help in picking resorts or even villas :think:

Before you book with onthebeach, check out their reviews on Trip Advisor.
I certainly wouldn't book with them.

Second half of August isn't usually that expensive if you DIY (book your hotels and flights separately), prices in Europe tend to drop after mid August. We nearly always go away then.

Packages from the UK will still be expensive because they're geared around the UK holidays.
