getting a new cooker soon, looking at dual fuel. Does anyone have a good one, or one to be avoided? ideally want a fast grill - with a dual fuel I gather the grill is electric - years and years ago I had an electric grill, which was hopeless. I'm hoping the technology has improved....

i have a cannon henley which i am really pleased with... my parents and brother in law also have cannons which they highly recommend
its got gas hob with electric oven and grill... the grill is called a solar grill (or soomething like that) and is very quick.. so quick in fact that i got rid of my toaster and use that for toasting etc
have to say i dont grill meat under it so cant comment on that but all in all i am really pleased with it
everyone i know who has a Stoves cooker has not been at all happy with them so that might be one to avoid

Thank you - was looking at the Cannon one - seemed OK, but thought if anyone had any actual experience of any in particular - always good to have a second opinion! The plumber has finished putting the pipe in, so I'm off out to find one at the weekend....0

I bought this Cannon dual fuel on-line last year and I love it!

Saved around £150 buying through Tribal and couldn't fault them for service. The cooker was delivered about 3 days after I ordered it direct fromthe manufacturer.0 -

Right then, been out to have a look - thanks for all the advice everyone, but now I can't decide - do I go for stainless steel, or enamel? Stainless looks lovely new, but I don't want to be a slave to cleaning it....have seen all the advice on baby oil, which sounds great, but I do quite a lot of splashy spitty cooking (ususally make some sort of mess - sometimes worse than others) Now, I know in professional kitchens, they always have stainless, but they generally don't care if it doesn't look all shiny, or if they do, they pay some poor school kid a pittance to scrub it after everyone else has gone home.
So now I'm asking if anyone has bought a stainless one, and regretted it? Would love to hear any thoughts....
Thanks in advance.0
