New York Deals

I would like to book to go to Newyork City for end of Feb or Mar 2013. I would likes to stay at the comfort inn manhatten or hotel Metro for 5-7 nights. Virgin holidays has comfort inn for 1st march for 5 days at £1750 approx. Does anyone know of any good deals out there?

Have you checked Expedia? Ive had 2 trips to NYC on there with good prices.

Virgin always seem overpriced to me.

    Virgin Holidays, I agree.

I would also try checking flights and hotel separate for comparison purposes - check booking direct with the hotels as well as UK 3rd parties.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

Is there any reason why you want to stay at those hotels?

Delta has flights from Feb 14 - 19 for £410 each, that leaves you over £900 to find a decent hotel. I agree with the others, you need to price each element separately.

Have a look on Tripadvisor, there are hundreds of hotels in NYC. I can recommend the Four Points by Sheraton Midtown, and you'll find lots more recommendations on the thread noted above.

Also, look at Priceline for booking - if you do a search there is a thread all about it.

Try BA for flights and hotel, they have a sale on at the moment. Don't know where you are flying from or I would have checked for you.

My daughter usually goes with virgin and stays at the Salisbury which is an excellent location and clean good size rooms. To be honest she has always got an ok price with them.

We have stayed at the metro and found the staff there very surly and unhelpful but maybe we we're just unlucky. Our rooms backed on to a building site and the dust somehow got into the room which was a nightmare.
