Lloyds documents don't mention PPI

Hi,

I sent the template letter from the main site off to Lloyds recently to start claiming PPI back on an old CC I had with them. They've now sent me a CCA in detail and a summary page with an online signature at the end but no signature next to the PPI sign up section. None of the documents make any mention of PPI whatsoever, except for the little box that isn't marked.

I know I had PPI on that account and I'm pretty sure I was mis-sold it as I was working 12.5 hours a week when I took out the policy and told them that and, though I might be wrong on this, I think the PPI would've only paid out if I was working 16 hours or more. I have proof of the number of hours I was working, all I need now is proof of the fact that the policy required more hours for it to have paid out. I'd hoped the template letter would give me that but, as I said above, there wasn't any mention of the rules behind PPI payouts in the documents they sent me. Does anyone know what I should do next please? I hope this all makes sense.

    Claim, claim, claim. :)

Follow the MSE guide on how to do this if you don't already know.

If you know for certain you had PPI on the credit card (it will have appeared on EVERY monthly statement) and you have VALID COMPLAINT REASONS then you can go ahead and complain. Working part-time is not a valid reason unless it would have invalidated your ability to claim on the insurance.
    Look here for mis-selling reasons and, if any apply, proceed;

That's the problem. I'm pretty sure it would've invalidated my ability to claim on the insurance as I was told this by one of their staff over the phone after which he put me on hold and when he got back, changed the subject and rushed me off the phone as fast as he could. I didn't know about PPI reclaiming at the time so I thought nothing of it. However, I have no written proof, only what I told on the phone roughly two or three years ago.

I've been looking through the stickies and I think a SAR might be my next step as that should give me transcripts of all the phone calls made regarding the account. Maybe I'm being a bit too thorough here but I want to stitch the bank up with their own paperwork so there's no chance they can refuse to pay out. What does everyone think? Should a SAR give me the evidence I need?

You won't get transcripts of recordings where none exist!
Calls are randomly recorded for training purposes, but they hardly keep a record of every call you make!

Sorry, I thought they did. My mistake. :(

The PPI payment would have been a seperate entry on each and every monthly statement you got.

    You didnt address moneyineptitude's point.

Have you got any statements, if not, get a cop of one.
If you paid PPI, it will be there, if not, then youre on a hiding to nothing and your memory is playing tricks on you.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

No, I don't have copies of the statements. I'll get hold of some. However, I know there was PPI on that account.

How are you planning to get statements?

Why don't you ring the Bank and just ask if there was PPI on that account? You could also ask (at the same time) if there was an exclusion for part time workers.

Do be aware that if you are in arrears or have defaulted on this account, then the Bank are within their rights to offset any redress they may award against your outstanding debt.

Good plan. :) As for statements, I have the account number so I could ask during the phone call for copies of statements, just to make sure. That seems like a good way forward, thank you.

I'm sorry if any of my previous posts came off as a bit defensive. I tend to stick to the DFW board as I've had quite bad experiences on other boards, including one in the last few days over on the housing board. So if I came off as stand-offish, it's probably as I'm still wary from then. Again, I'm sorry if I seemed rude.
