Somerset Wedding - can you recommend where to go/who to hire?

Options
Hello :)

We're starting to plan our wedding which will hopefully be in March 2013 so we're looking for recommendations on where to go/who to hire/what to do!

We live in Weston-super-Mare and ideally don't want to go more than an hour or so away.

If you know of any locations, florists, dress makers, photographers, videographers, cake makers, places to pick up decorations etc that are both good and reasonably priced I would love to hear to hear from you!

My sister got married at Goldney Hall in Bristol. I've no idea how much it cost or if it was reasonable, but it is absolutely stunning.

That does look beautiful. I shall need to enquire about the price.

    Thank you.

Hey I'm willing to travel for good cake! ;)

I just found a gorgeous cake on her site that would match the theme perfectly, and single tiers from £35 sounds very reasonable.

    Thank you!

I've been to two weddings in the last year one was on the SS GreatBritain very quirky and strange but lovely

The other was at Thornbury Castle which was amazing
  • Nailsea Tithe Barn - not been here but have seen the finished restoration some time on TV I think - "Friday evening – Sunday morning exclusive hire of all rooms £750" http://www.nailseatithebarn.co.uk/

charlearose - OMG the SS Great Britain! I didn't even think of that! I adore that idea, thank you!

joolzred - Wow that's probably the best value for money we are going to find. I had a look at the site but they don't have any actual wedding photos that I can see, to get an idea of how it looks dressed up. Bit of a shame cause £750 would be amazing. Thank you.

If you do go for the tithe barn, ask about car parking as I was at a training session in the church next door and the parking wasn't the greatest.
