Paypal Website Payments Pro

Guys your advice would be appreciated.
I am a doctor with no known credit defaults. I earn >60K/ year and am a home owner (mortgaged of course). I have set up an online business last year and opened a santander business account. In order to facilitate accepting online payments I applied for a paypal website payments pro account in March this year. Despite my paypal account being linked with my business bank account (opened last august) & my personal current account with HSBC (who I have been with since 2002), my paypal application was rejected saying that I did not pass their credit checks. I am extremely confused because I only own 1x credit card (paid fully each month), 3x current accounts (in credit), a car loan (paid fully each month) and my mortgage (interest only but paid duly each month). I have accessed by experian and credit expert credit records and they are all showing my credit score to be 'excellent'. Paypal refuse to tell me the grounds on which they rejected my application and I do want to use Paypal for my business. I can reapply again in a month's time. But I am not sure what I can change in my account settings, so that my application is accepted this time. Does the fact that my business bank account is less than 1 year old matter? Should I wait until September, when it will be more than 1 year old?
Thanks in advance

Just because all of the above doesn't mean your gods gift and will be accepted for everything you apply for.
Im surprised if anyone will help you on here you seem very arrogant in your post. No one needs to know what you earn or what cars and house you have. The issue is with paypal.0 -

Not sure what to suggest but it seems odd to be rejected by Paypal. They take the business from any old chav that wants so trade on ebay, so not sure what is unacceptable in your case.0 -
Maybe the criteria are different for an eBay linked PayPal seller account and a 'Website Payments Pro' account which implies that the OP wants to trade from his own website in his own right. There are alternatives to PayPal for this, e.g. WorldPay (http://www.worldpay.com/index.php?c=UK)0
