Travelling By Train (UK)

I am wanting to go from Manchester to London on the 3rd of August, I would then like to go from London to Portsmouth on the 5th of August, and then from Portsmouth to Manchester on the 7th of August.

Does anyone know if there is a ticketing service like this or will I have to book everything separately?

Thanks.

An off peak return goes via London anyway. You can travel ANY off peak times £97 use within the month (found via the trainline)
  • Or you can do a mix of Megabus (Man-Lon) for a tenner....Lon to Portsmouth on train for less than a tenner...and Megabus (Portsm-Man) for a fiver with lots of fag stops and an early rise :)

That would not work for this query, since the poster wants to spend more than a day in London before continuing her journey. Break of journey is permitted on the return journey, but not on the out-bound.

You are quite right, but how your typical punter is supposed to know that is a mystery to me.

You could of course do it on this ticket if you went to Portsmouth first and stopped in London on the way back
