hi, i dont know if anyone has any advice...my parents have just had a letter about a loan (that i had forgotten i had) asking for repayments etc, but the thing is i havent lived there in over 9 years...my name has always been on my correct property electoral role and i am named on the council tax and bills etc where i have been living (and never at my parents)
i was living at my parents when i took the loan out, but i havent had any contact with them in the past 9 years...what should i do...ok i know what i should do, but if i can get out of paying the loan then i will want to do that ideally :embarasse:naughty:
shall i ask my parents to send the letter back not known at this address?
thanks in advance..

If it was me I think I would for now.
Sounds very much like the debt would be statute barred.
See the info/letters in this link:
