hi, someone opened a paypal dispute with me saying he wasn't happy with his purchase. i contacted the buyer, sorted things out (or so i thought) but he's now totally ignoring my emails asking him to close the dispute, so now i don't have my money and he still has the goods :-( i've tried contacting paypal but they keep saying HE has to close the dispute. is there anything i can do? its for £200 so it's not even like its a small amount :-(

I took from what the OP posted that:
1. The seller has the goods.
2. The OP has had the money suspended by Paypal.
There was no refund, just the money is in limbo pending case resolution.0 -
Ebay will ask the buer to send the item back and should not refund till you have the item back.0

hi, thanks for your replies....he's decided to keep the item thats why i haven't refunded him, but he's ignoring my requests for him to cancel the dispute, so my money is still on "hold"0

I believe that if a dispute is not responded to, it will close automatically after a given amount of time. You will have your money released eventually.0

Yup. It's annoying to wait, but if he doesn't return, the money will be released - even if eBay give a no fault refund when they decide the case, you still won't lose out."Well, it's election year, Bill, we'd rather people didn't exercise common sense..." - Jed Bartlet, The West Wing, season 4

thanks :-) it IS really annoying especially as its £200.....which is a heck of a lot of money to me as well as it would be to most people...that's why we sell stuff in the first place, when we're in need of it!0
