I'm Saving up for a house and have done well over the last few years of savings. I'm now having trouble with the bank I'm with as they are not helping and not giving me any advice.
I have two accounts:
Account one 2 years of ISA savings on Santander's DIRECT ISA (ISSUE 8). Balance £9,175.20, Last renewed 29/06/2011, I think it is a years deal, so now expired.
Account two This years of ISA savings on Santander's DIRECT ISA (ISSUE 9). Balance £5,500. opened 10/04/2012.
The issue is that now that account one has expired, how can I move it to the account two so all my money is together, Santander will not allow me to do this as they said there was a 14 day transfer in policy, do I wait until the new tax year so I can transfer it all into that, or is there a way I can upgrade account one so the interest and tax free period continues.
I am grateful for any help. thanks.

The Santander Direct ISA Issue 9 is an instant access account and has no such 14 day deadline transfers in. Are you sure that is the ISA you opened on 10/4/12?
If it is, then all you need to do is call 0845 611 0181 and they will move your Issue 8 into your Issue 9. Simples
