    I agree. However, referring back to the 2nd part of my original post, I am now disappointed that after over a week awaiting to hear back about the 123 transfer, it annoys me. If I got an email just to say we are busy and it may be another week before you hear would be fine, but to hear nothing justifies why they come very low in customer satisfaction surveys.

    I wonder if they received your application.

    When I recently opened a Santander Preferred account I received a thank you email from them almost instantly, followed by another email containing an application reference number (OLA) a few days later. Then the forest of paperwork arrived.

    Have you contacted them to ask if they've received your application and ask about its status?
