I exchanged today and am completing tomorow (YAY!) and it is 8 weeks since I put the offer in. The main delay was my solicitor going on patenity leave and then trying to find out who owned the patch of grass in front of my new property. So completely possible. Just be firm with all concerned and make sure that everyone knows what you want.

Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.

It took 10 weeks from my offer to completion. Four of those weeks were Santander arsing about. we could have done it about a fortnight quicker too if we wanted. So doable.

IMO achievable, so long as "issues" do not arise. And provided the solicitors are prepared to be instructed AND act on the instructions. Unfortunately there are still some solicitors who do not like to be told what to do.
