Is this laptop any good?

I'm looking for a reasonably powerful laptop to do home office based tasks (Excel sheets with macros, word docs, internet and some video viewing) and logging in to my office desktop via remote log-in.

I have seen this laptop and wondered how it stacks up:

In terms of spec, this will do what you want. For this model I don't believe you could better the price. Overall we like Samsung as generally they are well built. Supplied lots of Samsung laptops, and so far no warranty claims on any, or indeed issues at all over the past 4 years or so. Maybe thats an overstatement as we did have to replace one hard drive some time ago (not unusual for any PC/laptop - good reason to ensure you have a backup capability too).
