Whooo!!!! Wimbledon!

First brit since 1936 to win men's double! How exciting for a rainy Saturday.

    Indeed, wonderful!

From wildcards who hadn't played together 3 weeks ago, to Champions.

And the women are now on court for their doubles final. Bet Serena's ready for an early night after her win this afternoon!!

Brilliant match! I was so happy. I do feel for the runners up though - always the bridesmaids, never the brides.

MIL is sitting here watching the women's doubles and answering the tv back - well answering Tracy Austin back really. It's hilarious, but Tracy Austin is awful, I wish the beeb wouldn't use her. She's so partisan towards the Williams sisters. My mother used to get very irate with Tracy Austin back in the day when she'd be jigging about on the baseline in her pigtails, fiddling with her frilly knickers! :rotfl:

Good win for the mens doubles though.

And it looks like we made it once again

I thought it was marvelous half way through the match that the Brit held his hands up after he was given the point to say it was wrong and he had fouled the net. Can you imagine that ever happening in a football final.
Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

It was such a brilliant match as well, some absolutely breathtaking shots played by both teams. Marray was the best man on the court by far. I hope they go a long way together.

Now I just have to get through the match tomorrow.

    C'MON MURRAY!
