C&G changed my address with me telling them

I recently moved houses. I made a list of institutions I needed to contact to tell them of my new address. I have an account with C&G, but because it has no online access, I needed to go into a branch to change my address with them.
I definitely didn't do this yet because I didn't have time, but today I received my monthly C&G statement to my new address. How could they get hold of my new address?
I told a whole lot of other people that I moved, but definitely not C&G... it saved me a trip to the branch, but also got me thinking how they found out?
Any ideas?

I have a savings account with Halifax and I did tell them yes.
However I would never have imagined that they would talk to each other, sometimes one side of the bank doesn't talk to another side of the same bank, much less across entities (even in the same group). But I guess they could have shared the information...
Anyone else seen information sharing between Halifax and C&G or something similar?0 -

We are going back 20 years now but when I worked for Lloyds we used to pass the address changes to Black Horse Life and other subsidiaries where we knew there was a relationship.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
