Can you do part time college course while receiving IS?

Hi, trying to help someone out. I think you can but don't want to give her wrong advice! I said full time was not possible but ok for part time college course. Would she need to inform anyone of part time course? Think it is 8 hrs a week. Thanks!

On what grounds does she claim IS?

I know you can do FT college on IS - but if it varies for the type of IS given I can't answer.

IS for a child under 5 is allowable and gives access to the Student Support Fund.

However, if IS is given for eg being disabled or a carer for someone else I am not sure.
