Claim against me

Help! We added a garage 22 years ago on our garden. As there was no pavement drop we put a pipe in the gutter & put concrete over it to form a small ramp. Some one ( who we believe has a grudge against us) has claimed that they have injured themselves on this. The council have been & removed the small concrete ramp . Can this person claim anything against us? No one had been injured in 22 years. My wife is registered disabled and we have little savings. Really worried.

Do you have insurance for your home? If so, pass the claim on to them, unanswered.0

It was on a public road and not your property. They would need to be able to prove that it was you that put it there. Also after no action by the council for 20+ years it could be argued that they have accepted it and are therefore responsible for it since it is their landThis is a system account and does not represent a real person.
