I like many have been scammed by Kitchen Units.
If you want to know how to POSSIBLY get your order sorted, please keep reading as I will first tell me story.
I firstly blame everyone involved in the company for ripping people off like the way they do.
I also have to somewhat blame myself for not seeing the signs that should have made me question them, however, this is the first and last time something like this will ever happen.
So my story, like many is that a man named "Saf" aka Suffian, came to visit our house. He saw that we were struggling to refurb a run down house we managed to purchased (our first ever house).
He said he understood and how his whole family used to run their own kitchen business and it went bust because of all the "cheap Chinese imports" driving price low.
He was slick talking and pretty soon had a design drawn up.
I then went through the kitchen brochure and picked out the "Shaker High Gloss" kitchen with a nice handle.
All the units were sorted and whatnot and so I read the back and i noticed it said that its almost guaranteed something’s would be "wrong, missing or damaged".
I questioned Saf about this and he said it probably would be possible that a "Screw" or two could be missing or maybe something might get damaged but phone up straight away and it will get sorted ASAP.
Having then quoted us a price of £900, it was something we could JUST about afford, I mean I really wanted a nice kitchen for the family to use.
So, Saf phoned up the office and DOUBLED CHECKED everything was available for delivery as we needed the kitchen in 2 weeks and couldn’t move it without it.
Having then pressured us on the spot to provide a £50 deposit I reluctantly paid, I personally wanted to think about it and maybe get other quotes however Saf said this price was for now and now only.
After taking the deposit and just before he left he told us that payment was only possible via "Cash".
This sent a small alarm bell ringing however I though having a top sponsored link on Google and professional service so far, nothing to worry about.
Delivery day came and one small man turned up on his own
He rudely came in and ticked off the checklist of what we ordered. Stupidly I paid him thinking he had accounted for everything we paid.
He was extremely pushy and said he was late on the remaining jobs so I gave him a hand brining everything in, as soon as the finished brining in the last item he basically drove off.
I thought nothing of it since he was late but a week later when the time came to fit it a week later, that’s where the problems started.
Firstly I noticed all the doors were the wrong design and there were no pre-drilled holes. All the Handles were wrong. Some hinges were missing also. The carcasses were the lowest quality possible, looking very flimsy and not like the description of a “solid, 18mm thick carcass”.
Then the biggest problem of all started.
Trying to phone customer services.
These people are the rudest, most unhelpful people ever.
I much have called 20+ times.
Each time you phone a “switchboard” lady picks up, either immediately or after ~5mins. As soon as you mention a “problem” or “complaint”, they RUDELY without letting you finish talking or telling you what they are doing, transfer you.
Oh boy. On hold for minimum 20mins. Maximum for me was 46mins. Crazy.
Then when the lady picks up, you explain your problem and she seems bored, not even bothered, no “sorry” in sight.
She then has to find your plan. On hold for another 5 – 15 mins.
At this point they can put the phone down.
If not, they pick up and say yes a problem was made and we will switch them out.
They then go back to hold and this is where they DEFINITELY will put the phone down after making you hold for 30mins – 1hour+ !
At this point you are ready to rip someone’s head off because if you ring back, the same process will happen again.
NOW, this is how you FIX YOUR PROBLEMS.
Option 1: go to the warehouse.
Customer service team are on floor 4. Man I hate those women. No hello when you walk in no nothing.
But this is where all the stock is. At first I was told the kitchen I wanted was not in stock but they saw that I did not drive 20 miles to go back home empty handed. Somehow then magically they “found” the correct door panels and handles and the missing hinges however I was still missing 4 doors. Enough was enough.
The address for the place is:
Maple Mill
Cardwell Street
Oldham
OL8 2AF
Option 2 is more elaborate.
Basically you need to use a relatives/friends house.
What you do is book a new appointment for a different house.
You need to make sure the kitchen plan is drawn to include all your draws and cabinets.
You must then pay the deposit, I know the last thing anyone wants to do is give them more money but its worth finally putting a end to it.
Then when the delivery man comes, and asks for payment first, you just get extremely annoyed and ramble on how you have never heard anyone ask for money first and how it is so rude and how you would never ask a customer to pay first and if the driver wants he can take the kitchen back.
Basically do whatever to avoid paying first.
If you succeed, you need to bring in what you need first.
In my case, the doors and handles.
So what I blagged was that we should bring the doors and handles in first so I can put them somewhere safe away from kids damaging them, as they will go on last anyway.
The driver agreed and we brought in doors and handles.
Once he left to bring in the flat packed draws, I closed and locked the draws.
He rang the bell but I ignored.
He called the police who arrived and I explained I didn’t know who the delivery man was and that I had a kitchen delivered 3 weeks ago and it was mine. I provided the plan and sure enough the doors matched the plan. The police left.
My order was finally complete.
This is probably not for everyone to try out as some people may not like it. However, if they can rip people off on a massive scale and get away with it, why not give them a taste of their own medicine?
After all you paid good money for the products so should get it.

Good for you for sorting it. Im trying to help a couple a the moment who have been having massive problems with kitchens Uber. (I think its Uber but could well be another one of his many companies). They have been without a kitchen for months and the poor woman isnt hardly eating she is so stressed out. Managed to fit their units the other day so they can get some normality back. They have a small house and all the kitchen stuff was in the front room. Granite to go on next by a different company, I hope the units will hold the weight, then i need to find a spare day to go back to fit the appliances and doors etc.
Dorrs still to be delivered but it turns out the salesman knew the couples father so he went upto Manchester to get the doors himself. In the end all the white doors needed changing as the ones they have in stock now are a different shade of white.
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. If you cant afford a kitchen from another company make do with what you have and save up a bit more money is my advice0 -
They're not that cheap anyway. I ended up 'patching up' my kitchen with doors & units from B&Q when they had a sale on.
Cheaper than Vance Miller's rubbish & no doubt better quality.
I've added the op's post to the thread in Praise, Vent & Warnings0 -
